Performance
Whether you like to act, sing or dance, CAST wants you!
Each year the CAST program produces a range of dramas, comedies and musicals especially designed for and performed by children. Our student performers learn the crafts of acting, singing, and dancing under the guidance of theatre professionals.
No experience is needed. We will teach you everything you need to know to be confident in your role. And the CAST Program is a NO CUT program. This means every student who tries out is given a role in one of our productions.
Auditions
To receive a part in one of our shows you must audition and complete the audition permission slip.
Check back soon for information about our shows for the 2025/2026 season information.
Auditions should be a one-minute memorized monologue. Get ideas for your monologue here and here.
Audition dates and registration will be available soon!
Rehearsals
Being in a play usually means going to rehearsals for approximately 6 weeks. Rehearsals take place after school and some evenings. You will be called to a rehearsal 3-5 times a week, and it is very important you attend ALL rehearsals.
Tech Week/Preformances
Tech week is the final week leading up to the show. It is critical that all CAST members attend tech rehearsals and shows. Tech rehearsals are typically longer than normal rehearsals and will usually happen later than typical rehearsals. These rehearsals are with costumes, lighting, sound, and our crew.
Each show typically performs 2-3 times in one weekend. It is critical that all students attend performances.
