An original comedy created for CAST in 2014, Devine Hamlette tells the story of an all-girls’ summer theater camp that mounts a production of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Ellen Devine is in the lead role, but ends up needing a little help from the ghost of famed 19th Century actor, Sarah Bernhardt. Quirky, insightful, funny and even poignant at times, this show manages to capture some big personalities in a way anyone who has been to summer camp or middle school will remember.
